Jay Talbot’s Ramblings

I haven’t been home much the past week, but only to sleep….. “Why?” You ask? Because, I’ve been going out a lot. I’ve developed a bit of a problem, but I’ll start with 3 days back….

You see, I agreed to meet this young lady named April a few days ago. We went to Ruby Tequila’s for Mexican food. It all went pretty well, was kind of a last minute thing really. It was pretty decent really. We had fajitas for two, and sat and visited, mostly talking about her and her family. That’s pretty nice because I like to get the scoop on the who I’m dating, and maybe some background to see if they might be psycho-hose-beasts. Anyway, after we went to Hastings to sit in their big, confy chairs and talked some more. Before we knew it, it was time for me to go to work. bleh, but ok.

Well, the next day, we start chattin’ on yahoo, and she invites me over saying she’ll cook for me. Wow! Who’s gonna turn that down, right? I agreed to go over to her apartment and have dinner with her. Again, this was a last minute thing and I wasn’t exactly prepared. It was also laundry day and I had almost ever piece of clothing I own either in the drier or in the washer (yes, I have a small wardrobe). I did manage to get a semi-dry set of clothes out of it before heading over. When I got there, the first thing I noticed was the place is spotless. WTF? Ok, what is it with women and spotless apartments? Anyway, I kinda looked around, got a feel for the place. It had a couple of cold spots, but nothing to worry about. She ended up making me chickenfried steak. Yummy! We also had greenbeans, baked potatoes, and gravy. After we got done eating, we watched a movie I’d chosen from her collection of movies, which was mostly chick flicks. I’d chosen “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” (quite funny movie really). Anyway, that went well. We said our g’nights and I decided to see what’d happen if I kissed her. Surprisingly, she kissed me back, and boy was it a kiss, or rather several. Now, mind you, we’d only seen each other once before that night. So, I wasn’t expecting much. It’s one thing you have to admire about someone, is their ability to kiss. I said my g’nites and headed to work.

Change scene to yesterday. I didn’t really plan on going out and doing anything, maybe play a lil DAoC or perhaps even some EQ, should the winds blow me that way. I got a phone call from Becky, my old friend/flirt who’s actually living between Fritch and Borger. We talk for a bit and she had to go take care of some things with her kids, so I let her go. I kinda got back in bed and lay there for a while, going in and out sleepy state. I finally decided to get up and take my shower at about 4:30pm or so. I love long showers BTW. Anyway, when I got out of the shower, a little after 5:00pm, I had 3 voicemail alerts come through my email. Hmm…. I looked at the numbers, and could really only call back one. Ok, so I chose April. This could be interesting, so I called her up and we decided to have pizza and a movie night. Hey! Can’t go wrong with that, right? So I went to her apartment again. I get there, and she’s standing outside talking to her best friends dad, who was moving her bestfriends stuff out of the apartment next to Aprils place. So I got to meet him, and his wife. They’re a nice couple really. After waiting on them to return her trashcan, we went to blockbuster and picked out a couple of movies. “The Notebook” (huge chickflick) and some movie about a ballet company (don’t ask me, she picked it out. lol). There’s a lil fastfood Japanese place called Chop Chop just down the way, and we decided on that instead of pizza. We got our food and went to her place. Popped in the movie and she cuddled up to me to watch it, holding hands, and kissing some through out the movie. Well, near the end of the night, we’re sitting there talking, amongst other things, and she comes up with a question…. She asked me “How do you see us?” Ummmm….. Well….. Ummm….. *shrugs* I asked her the same question back. With a lil persuasion, she said she’d want us to be an “item.” Uhhh…. *dumb-founded look and stuttering* (Mind you, we’d only known each other in person for a few days, right?) I then kinda agreed, but only half heartedly….. I’m not sure I want a relationship with her….. Not this soon, it’s only been 3 days, and I have other women I want to take out too….

She wants me to come over after work…… Oh Hel! WTF? I need some sleep woman! lol! Anyway, I need a way out of this. She actually seems a bit on psycho side of insanity. How do I get out of this?

The one woman I really, truely want in my life still thinks I’m creepy….. I have a feeling that if she’d actually get to know me, things could be different….. I miss her….. Loki is an asshole, and Cupid is his bitch….. Bleh….
