DAoC is like….
Coming home after a long time away. I decided that it might be interesting to go and play on my old server, Iseult, a couple of weeks ago. I’ve played my minstrel some, but I also decided to roll a heretic. I’m pretty much a casual player now. I don’t have hours and hours to play. After all, I have been in search for companionship for sometime now. Anyhow, after a couple of weeks soloing though dungeons, I finally got him up to 20 and took him to thid. Man, seemed like everyone was red to me. I decided to go grab a quick level so most everyone would be at least orange to me. Tonight, I finally got to really play him for an amount of time longer than say, an hour. Mwuahahaha! It was fun! The group I got in just mowed over a lot of enemies, but we got rolled a couple of times too. No biggie, right? 
A guildie had dinged 25, which is past the max level to be in thid, but you can still play there as long as you don’t die and release or logout. Anyway, he died in the worst possible place. At the top of the hill, almost due NW of the hib bridge. Being the only one who could get him a rezz in the group and him being a guildie, I made it my personal goal to “rescue” him so he could play more. Man, after the hibblets figured out what we were trying to do, they camped his body like there was no other place to be. After repeatedly dieing about 4 times, having successfully rezzed him 2 twice only to have him die again, I finally got the group together for one final whack at it and it paid off. We came from the side, and of course the hibbies were there waiting as usual, one was actually sitting on his body. lol! While my group was keeping them busy, I finally got a good rezz on my buddy. Before they could get him, he stealthed. Woot! Of course, almost all of us died, but at least he was able to make a few more passes with us. After that, we ended up with a new group leader who turned out to be a real ass. I don’t enjoy the mentality this guy was playing with and neither did my guildie. He ended up leaving and I made one last pass with the group, then had to bail to go to work.
So there you have it. That’s a night in Thid. Seems kind of intense if you don’t know what I’m talking about. 
That’s nothing, the big RvR is just as much, if not more! Maybe I’ll post some of the adventures of my big RvR play.
