I just got my semi-new, shiney, refurbished, and I hope it works, Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum directly from Creative, via eBay. lol! It looks like it’s in good shape, so hopefully it’ll work just as well as a new one. I’ll probably post a full review on it, but here’s what it came with.

The contents of the box is as follows:

1 Sound Blaster Audigy 2 soundcard.
1 Front mount Audigy Drive (basically a breakout box with various digital and analog connections)
1 Remotecontrol for whatever you wanna do with it.
Various IO cables for hooking it all together, plus a midi/joystick bracket.

Well, I’m mostly moved now. My puters are all up and running, complete with an extra 8 port switch for extra connectivity. I’m lacking a couple of boxes and my office chair, which I’ll be getting after work.

I had an interesting weekend…. Did I mention I’m an Ordained Minister? I am. I did my first ever wedding (or rather a handfasting) on Sunday. It was a friend of mine I went to school with. It was fun really, though I was nervous. Man, the lessons we learn in life can be difficult at times, and at other times be not so difficult. I now know I’ll eventually get married and have kids. Just not sure to who and when, but I know this now.

Ok, Todd Cochrane not only has a podcast through Geek News Central, but he also put out a book on podcasting, which is what I bought. I’ve been following this podcast for the last few episodes and I am impressed. He’s part of the TechPodcasts.com. I’ll warn you now, all of the podcasts at TechPodcasts.com are heavily spotted with sponsor adds, but there’s some good information coming out of them, so I highly recommend them anyway.

There are podcasts on just about anything. I even found a little podcast about winemaking. My preferred directory is Podcast.net, but there are a few others.

People are often highly misguided in claims, especially when they have no bases in reality. The Author’s Guild has taken it upon their selves to sue Google for “plain and brazen violation of copyright law.” Wow! Those are pretty strong words for a baseless accusation. First off, none of the works mentioned in their press release are on Google Print. Secondly, they usually have a “Provided by:” link on each page of the book.

Well, I think I’m going try my hand at Podcasting. I have no idea of what I’m going to talk about. lol! I’m more than qualified to talk about pretty much anything in the tech industry, but there are a zillion of tech podcasts, so I’m going to try and find something that is different, but yet I’m still qualified for. Could be interesting people, so be sure and check back here to find out when I come out with show #1. If anyone has suggestions, feel free to let me know!
