Ok, just something I’ve been thinking about. Podcasting is something pretty neat. The idea of downloading mp3’s to listen to on an mp3 player isn’t new in the least, but the way it’s done it neat. It’s basically this. Someone makes an mp3 made in a radio show style format, posts it to their website/blog, and makes nifty RSS 2.0 news feed. RSS feeds aren’t that new either, but a custom XML tag allows a common way to “subscribe” to podcasts. This also allows for people to post their podcasts on iTunesTM, which gives you a ton of exposure to potential listeners.

Ok, there are some pretty serious changes coming in my life. I’m going to have to find a place to live for one. Also, the uncertaintly behind the secrets of my faceless corporate bosses concerning my job really has me worried. It’s official that the car that I was driving, that died last year, is gone. They towed it a while back. I’m getting ownership of the van I’m driving now, so maybe I can trade it in for a workable pickup truck. I guess it’s all catching up with me now. Things have been on cruise control for a while now, so I almost expected it all to come to a head. I’m not happy, although it will be nice to have a decent vehicle to drive for a change.

In true gamers fashion…. WTF?? This is definatly an odd-ball couple if I’ve ever seen one. Why would eBay, an auction house, buy Skype, a proprietary VoIP provider? The only thing I can see being serious about this is to make it easier for customers to contact eBay and PayPal customer service. Anything else would just be silly, considering how hard eBay makes it to even find a phone number and/or address for their place of business.

First off, it looks like I have to find another place to live. The guy I’m renting my room from is selling his house. This sucks pretty bad, but hey, nothing lasts forever. He’s basically going to make $24k more than he paid for it. What sucks is he’s used about $1750 of my money (rent) to make it worth that much more, and I won’t see a dime from the sale either. bleh…. Oh well, nothing like getting screwed over. I should be used to it by now, but no one seems to use lube anymore….
