Well, I’m thinking about making a few changes. For a long time, visitors to jaytalbot.com have been redirected to the /blog directory. Well, I’m thinking about branching out some and going beyond a simple blog. I’m not entirely sure what else I can put up, although the possibilities are endless. *shrugs* I’m also the laziest man I know, so don’t hold your breath. None the less, I will probably change a few things, including creating a subdomain just for the blog.

Other than that, have a nice Samhain/Halloween. Maybe more later….

No kidding! There’s a story about a Catholic school telling the attending kids to either “dismantle” their blogs or face suspension. WTF? They say their reasoning behind it really has to do with “online predators.” Yeah right! I have to agree with others who’s opinion is that it has more to do with negative comments about the school being posted than that.

Ok, the whole deal with work seems to be taken care of. I don’t have much to talk about now. lol! I’ve started replanning of my first podcast. I don’t know. I just didn’t like the first episode’s content I had planned. My target day I’m shooting for is Wednesday (10/26). I don’t know if it’ll happen then even. They want to take pictures for new name badges at work, so we’ll see how late they keep me. Yeah, just found about that tonight. It’s not like, I dunno, I have a life now or anything. I think if this is going to be required, they should at least take them during my shift. lol! Some how, I just can’t see that happening.

I get to work with a wonderful email waiting for me. It basically let me know I was talking to a 6 year old, or a brick wall, however I think I might have better luck with either. What is it with people? Anyway, he’s threatening to go to “Data Securty” if things aren’t done the way he wants them. lol! I basically told him that unless things become equal, I’ll go to “Data Security” myself. Of course, that’ll piss on my boss, who’ll come in and just reformat everything. lol! I actually hope he does. He explained to me yesterday that if this crap can’t be solved by us, then it “would become the purest Windows environment” I’ve ever seen. I personally hope this really happens. It might teach some people around here a lesson or two about whining, and definatly about being careful of what you wish for. I just want to do my job, my guys just want to do theirs as well, that’s all. Creating conditions that inhibit workflow is against the law and company policy, this idiot should know this by now. I’m thinking harrassment plays a part, since he’s singling our my shift, specifically one of my operators.

Have you ever felt like you work with a bunch of 6 year olds? That’s exactly how I feel today. I don’t mind my work so much, and I don’t mind taking a little flack every now and again for what my guys do, it’s my job, even though sometimes I do gripe about it. Today, someone on another shift actually got ballsy enough to blame my entire shift for something that could have been no one’s fault. One of our stupid workstations crapped out. Naturally they put my shift at fault, blindly… There has been no evedence presented, only accusations and finger pointing. WTF? On top of that, the accuser says they won’t talk about it anymore. WTFH? We’re all supposed to be adults here, but sometimes they prove just the opposite…. Oh well, I guess things will eventually work out. My boss has made it perfectly clear that there is to be something worked out, so this guy will have to have dialogue with me. He’s not going to like it because I will drive the nails home in pointing out his unresearched and unsupported accusations. Maybe he’ll keep his mouth shut from now on….
