Staying True to My Sony Boycott….
Ok, my girlfriend and I finally got to celebrate x-mas/Yule tonight. I hadn’t gone and gotten her anything yet, mostly because I’ve been broke by buying presents for everyone else in my family, her family, bills, and groceries. Well, I went and got her a console gaming system. Looking at the multitude of games and the “Big 3″ gaming consoles, I looked hard at the Playstation 2. It is a midrange price, and tons and tons of games available. Alas, I could not in good concience buy and support a Sony product. The reasons are many, but he biggest reason of them all is that Sony has been blatantly more evil this past year. As a result, not even a chunk of coal for them from me. Instead, I decided to buy my girlfriend (and myself, although it’s hers) an XBox. That’s right! I’m leaving the XBox 360 to those with more money.
Although, I’m not a fan of Micro$oft, I will say that they have been less evil this past year than others. Also, when evaluating the Nintendo Gamecube, it’s older tech and I might as well get a PS1, which would be wrong in my opinion. I’m going to be looking at accessories for our XBox in the next few months, including getting a couple of wireless gamepads, and a wireless router and adapter for internet connectivity. Not to mention games! We’ll need games, and if anyone has any suggestions on some of the more awesome XBox games, leave a comment or contact me! I, personally, like either first person shooters or some sort of RPG. My girlfriend likes the racing game that came with the XBox, but she agrees that DDR is on the list of wants. I’ll probably be renting a few to evaluate, so stay tuned! 
I hope this year will be a much better year than the last. Only time will tell!
