Ok, so I went to go see Riverdance lastnight, before work. I must say, they have quite an impressive show with lots of very talented dancers. Sure, I’ve seen a tape and all, knew mostly what to expect, but I was simply blown away. Besides all that though, it made me miss clogging even more, but alas that’s another story…

The show began as one would expect, with announcements about upcoming shows by some goofy guy. lol! Well, we was goofy really. Shortly after that, the curtain finally raised. It was amazing they packed their stage setup and band onto that stage, which really isn’t all that big really (I’ve performed on it once or twice myself, back in the day). The lights dimed, and the show finally began.

Sometimes, life takes turns for the good, but most of the time it goes more towards the bad. There have been some good things happening to me lately.

First and foremost, I finally got my promotion and raise. It took a year to get there, but I’m not making a respectable salary for my job. Scarey, I won’t have to live from paycheck to paycheck eventually, once I get some odds and ends worked out with some really annoying creditors. Eventually, I want to get my own place again. Yeah, it’s nice having someone around, but I also need my own space and I’m feeling a little too claustrophobic at this point. I need some me time, and I’m just not getting it. Besides, she’s really wanting to act like we’re married, when we’re not. It’s getting old real quick.

Well, I don’t remember if I wrote about it or not, but a few weeks ago I reinstated my EQ accounts. Over this past weekend SOE enabled double experience, and I pretty much spent my entire weekend killing stuff and taking advantage of it on my new main, a now level 27 Druid. Not only did my druid start off at level 12, but I managed to get the next 15 levels in about 12 hours worth of work. Basically, with my hectic sleep schedule, and only getting to play a few hours a night, it was amazing I managed to get as far as I did. My girlfriend has made it pretty clear that she doesn’t like me playing games, even the little bit I do get to play. Oh well, screw her. I’ll play if I damn well want to. It’s my outlet, my only outlet, for my frustrations and the shit that’s happened to me in the last few years. Anyway, haven’t played my WoW. I’m pretty tired of the grind in either game. I would probably move to DDO if I didn’t hear it sucked so bad.

So now, as I type this, I own exactly 1/2 of a laptop. That’s right, we went in halvesees on a brand-spankin-new HP laptop. First thing I did when I got it home was to see how many open wi-fi networks were around me. lol! There are exactly 2 open, and 2 secured. Yeah, I’ll admit, I used an open network for a couple of things, but it’s pretty much been used productively by my girlfriend. She’s done homework on it. I do plan on doing my development stuff, and play my games on it after I upgrade the memory to a smooth 1GB, well, until I get my own. I’m just a selfish bastard when it comes to my computers, so I want my own. Anyway, both EQ and WoW play on it. If you must know, it’s an HP ze2000 model serires we got for cheap at circuit city. It has a Sempron 3000+, 512MB RAM, 60GB HDD, a dual-layer DVD-/+RW CD-RW combo drive, and a nice and bright 15′ screen. I give it 4 out of 5 stars, because of the shared system/video memoery. Heh, we already prefer to watch movies on it in the bedroom, compare to my 13′ TV that’s in there. lol! Go figure!
