So we got a new puppy…
Not exactly what I expected, but she’s cute. We went and visited a sheltie kennel in Lubbock, and was impressed. The lady knew a lot about the breed, and all her dogs looked healthy and beautiful. We didn’t get to see our puppy’s dam because she was at the vet getting fixed. The kennel owner explained that because she didn’t get any show quality dogs out of her litters, the dam would be better off not breeding. We thought this was rather responsible of her.
This puppy seems well rounded and much friendlier than our previous puppy. Besides that, she’s healthy and I think she’ll make us a wonderful pet. She loves to play and is lots of fun, when she’s not sleeping. lol! Yes, she wears herself out pretty quick. She’s really pretty smart, although we’re having to potty train a little late as she just turned thirteen weeks this week. I wish we could have gotten her earlier, we would have been through it and she’d be all done with it. She’s also learning her name, and she responds when she wants too. lol!
All and all, this is going to be a 100% different dog. No health problems from bad breeding, and no agressive behaviour. I miss our old dog….. But I can’t help but look to the future with this one. She’s a pretty, healthy and smart little “booger butt” and I wouldn’t trade her for the world.
