WoW, you have my heart….

Via Digg I found this story about a man who had a hard time with a rare form of cancer. When all resources through official channels failed him, his WoW guild stepped up to pull him from financial disaster.

Holy crap! Now you see? Gamers are not all gun toting, maniacal individuals who go on killing sprees. Many of them are true and honest people who find a certain satisfaction in certain types of games. There is a type of community when it comes to online gameing. If you still don’t believe me after reading this story, you need to have your head examined because then you’re just lieing to yourself.

I so miss the long hours of playing DAoC, EQ, and then WoW. My girlfriend doesn’t understand why I play. This is why I play. Many of the people are good people, and don’t want to cause harm to anyone, but will still wtfpwn that big red mob with all the good lootz. It’s a great way to socialize, and my girlfriend doesn’t understand that either. She always tells me I’m anti-social when I go back to play in the computer room. I’m not being anti-social, I’m just socializing with another set of folks who enjoy what I enjoy. I guess that’s why I’m out the door once I have a car….

To that guild who helped a buddy in need…. You guys rock! Follow the magic link to their guild portal….

Maybe more later…
