I’ve been bad, very bad…..
Yes, it’s true. I’ve been a bad boy. I bought a truck finally, which was a huge need actually. Not bad, right? Well, I wanted a something other than a tape player/radio in there. This is where it get’s interesting….
I got the net and looked around at different radios, and myself being lazy, found one at Best Buy that had a lot of bells and whistles that they would install for nothing. So I trot my butt down there to look at it inperson. Well, they were out of the one I wanted, so I went to see if Circuit City had it. Nope! They didn’t. That sucked.
That night I hit the web again. I’d heard that Crutchfield would include all instructions, mounting kit, and some tools free. Fine and dandy! Even better, if I spent enough on my e-duction credit card with them, I’d get a 6month payout, and 0% interest. That’s right! It’s a great money saver! So I got on there, and found a JVC car stereo with everything, including a built-in HD Radio reciever, and for an additional $50 they’d through in an iPod adapter. All together, with just the radio and adapter, it was going to run me $250 total. This was no where near the $399 I needed to spend. So, I did what any other gadget loving nerd would do. I got my video iPod! What good would having a an iPod adapter if I didn’t have an iPod?
Naturally, it created some friction between my girlfriend, who’s been telling me “no” on an iPod for the last year. Well, this time she wasn’t around to slap my hand. lol! Oh well, I had the money, and it was my money to spend.
So there! I was a bad boy! But being bad can be very, very good! I now have a sweet HD Radio in my truck, and a sweet iPod to match! Oh, and by the way, it’s a Black 30GB iPod. I figured if I spent the extra $100 for the 60GB now, I’d be more than a lil greedy. lol!
