Speak with your vote….
There comes a time in every person’s life when they have to say, “enough is enough!” Well, today, enough is enough!
Today I read an article at Rolling Stone that really kind of hit home with me. It’s about politics. It’s about Congressional politics, and how they aren’t doing a damn thing for those of us living under their governmental rule. We all know helping to run a country is tough, and these guys stepped forward and took the challenge…. But really, you have to question why they did it.
To help sum up the article, the 109th Congress has failed us. They have failed us because of corruption, idiocrity, and blatant contempt for civil liberties and personal rights. There is a certain breed of politician that hold the majority of both houses. These people are slimy, and will put their own pocketbook before your best interests. Who are these politicians? Why, they’re the Republicans.
The article has all the specifics, but it comes down to this: Many are just voting-bots, while a few actually make the decisions. The few that make the decisions are bought and paid for by different companies in their home states, or are performing favors for others in their party.
Where are the Democrats? They have no voice, no decision making power, and they’ve been there mostly because the law says they can be there. They have been shutdown and shutout of most of the major decisions, and have had it thrown in their face.
I can only hope and trust that people will come to their senses this election, Nov. 7th. We could have a little more “We the People” instead of “I. Bush.”
