Blogger Code of Conduct?
Do bloggers really need a “Code of Conduct?” Do we need to standardize and organize our thoughts and emotions into an order based on someone else’s point of view? I took some time to think about it and my answer is: No, we do not!
Why? Because with all the “Political Correctness” we are forced to sugar-coat the brutal and ugly truths that plague our lives. It seems that people want you to lie to them and hide your true thoughts and emotions. Sorry folks, this will not happen on my blog! If you don’t like what I have to say, don’t read it. Or better yet, block my site via your firewall. You are not my target audience thus I will not cater to you or your fascist ways. I have a freedom of speech, and you have the freedom to move on and go play “pop-it” on pongo. It’s really very simple.
I have to agree with Todd over at Geek News Central. I will not endorse this code as I had no hand in making it nor does it interest me to do so. It is an utter insult that that I would be asked to validate what I write. I write what and who I am. I write with feels and emotions that will not be subject to validation by outside forces. I will not let anyone else dictate to me what to say and how to say it. I pay the monthly fees for the server space, the yearly fees for the domain, and the upkeep on it all. Until someone else wants to pay for it, I will not submit.
Maybe more later….
