Jay Talbot’s Ramblings

Once upon a time, there was this kid. He was in high school and was evolved in many extracurricular activities. One of these activities involved being in the band. As fate would have it, he went to band camp for a couple of weeks out of the summer for a little fun and some constructive learning. During the summer of 1990, he went to band camp and met a wonderful girl there. They kissed, held hands, and spend loads of spare time together. Alas, the time was too short and the two went their separate ways, but promised to call and write each other.

Less than a month later, the girl told him she was moving out of state and that the long distance would be too hard for her. The boy cried and cried, and finally came to the realization that he would never see or hear from her again. Not so says Fate, for 17 years after their unceremonious split, she finds him on the Internet. Unfortunately, she is now married, has kids, and lives in Germany.

The boy still remembers the good days of old, and will keep the memories forever near his heart.
