Finally got my Apple iMac!!!

Yup! I’ve gone and joined the darkside and bought myself a shiny new 20″ iMac! What’s this mean? Well, not much to many people, but plenty to me.

First, let’s just say I’ve gotten sick and tired of the latest bullshit from Microsoft. Vista is a mess in every review I’ve read. Sure, you got some apologists out there who say it ain’t that bad; fuck’em. If they want a fully controlled environment, let’em have it. I don’t want functionality crippled in my computer that I paid good money for, just because a part manufacturer didn’t get a signed driver out. I’ve voted with my wallet, and I voted NO to the RIAA/MPAA restraints Microsoft installed in their latest and greatest OS. They can suck a fat donkey dong for all I care.

The Internet is for Porn!

Heh, I know this isn’t new, but I feel it’s important to know what the Intarweb was really made for: PORN!

Maybe More Later…

Rare WoW moments for me….

This past weekend, I took back a little piece of myself. I sat down Friday night at my computer, logged into WoW, and began playing. I set myself a goal, which was to hit level 54.

I hit 54 Friday night by grinding out in Eastern Plague Lands (EPL) for not only experience, but faction with Argent Dawn (AD). Let me tell ya, it’s not easy out there with the place constantly getting farmed by 60’s, but I got the right amount of kills for this deed of valor. :) AD has some really nice armor when you hit exhaulted, which I intend to do.

A return to Magic: The Gathering…

Ok, so I was reading something the other day, I think it was about D&D. Well, the way my mind works, I made the connection from D&D to Wizards of the Coast, as such they also make the Magic: The Gathering CCG. I got to thinking about those days, and how they weren’t so bad.

I’ve been thinking about starting it up again, but there’s not really any place around here to actually play. There are plenty of places to buy the cards, just no place that does tournaments, or even regular game play. I’m beginning to wonder if I should actually organize a M:TG tournament myself, but that’s a lot of work and would probably be pretty expensive. We’ll see how things go I guess….

AMD to buy ATI for $5.4 Mill…errr… Billion cash….

Can you believe that? After days of speculation, it finally comes out: AMD is buying ATI.

To me, this is a very good thing all the way around. It means that AMD will be put on a more even playing field with Intel. Why? Well, for years Intel has been making their own motherboard chipset to go along with their processers, now it’s AMD’s turn.

Let me explain. ATI creates more than just excellent video chipsets, they also create chipset for motherboards; think ATI Crossfire. This will allow for better compatability between ATI chipset motherboards and AMD processers. I think this is the real reason AMD and ATI are getting into bed together, and it makes a ton of sense.
