Via Digg I found this story about a man who had a hard time with a rare form of cancer. When all resources through official channels failed him, his WoW guild stepped up to pull him from financial disaster.

Holy crap! Now you see? Gamers are not all gun toting, maniacal individuals who go on killing sprees. Many of them are true and honest people who find a certain satisfaction in certain types of games. There is a type of community when it comes to online gameing. If you still don’t believe me after reading this story, you need to have your head examined because then you’re just lieing to yourself.

Well, Tuesday I turn 32. I always thought I’d be someone by now. Instead, I’m no one of importants. I’m just plain old Jay. It’s kind of depressing really.

On a lighter note, I did get two presents so far. My girlfriend gave me a 19′ LCD flat-panel monitor, and mom gave me $75 towards an infrared illuminator for my camcorder. Of course, there was some question if I was actually going to get the monitor, then I offered to help out which made everything ok then. lol! How convenient huh? The new monitor has an awesome response time! WoW, DVD’s, videos…. It all plays pretty sweet! Anyway, the IR illuminator should be here next week.

Heh, lots of stuff going on… Let me run some of it down for you.

1. I’m now apart of a paranormal investigation team. I’m involved with the Tech Dpt. Go figure… lol!
2. I’m thinking about building a new business, with an actual brick store. It’ll be something that’ll be built slowly, unless I can find a cash fountain somewhere to supply as much money as I’ll need for the first year of operation.
3. Vacation last week was one part fun, 3 parts frustrating, and 2 parts annoying.
4. I’m playing WoW kind of regularly since I got back. Not sure how long that’ll last, but it’s fun while it lasts! My girlfriend thinks I’m being “anti-social.” I can be anti-social if I damn well wanna be.

Sometimes, being lazy doesn’t pay. Yeah, yeah, I know. I forgot to pay the domain bills and it expired on me. Lucky me that eNom kind of sets it aside and let’s you renew it within a week. Unfortunatly, it meant this blog was offline for a couple of days. Not really anything major, but I’m sure any regular visitors we disappointed. (Hey! I can wish!)

Anyway, there’ve been some interesting developments I will share when I get a chance sometime during my weekend. For now, I gotta go!

Not exactly what I expected, but she’s cute. We went and visited a sheltie kennel in Lubbock, and was impressed. The lady knew a lot about the breed, and all her dogs looked healthy and beautiful. We didn’t get to see our puppy’s dam because she was at the vet getting fixed. The kennel owner explained that because she didn’t get any show quality dogs out of her litters, the dam would be better off not breeding. We thought this was rather responsible of her.
