Jay Talbot’s Ramblings

It’s coming. It’s getting closer and closer. The day of reckoning will be at hand, and it will be time for me to bid fair-well to my home for the last 32 years. In 6 weeks, it will happen. Austin… Here I come ready or not!

We’ve started packing already. Ya know, just little things that we can live without like movies and stuff. I’m not looking forward to the actual move. Renting the truck. Packing the truck. Unpacking the truck. And all the travel between. I want it over with now. I am excited, however, that my new life will start once it’s all said and done.

Yes, it’s true. I’ve been a bad boy. I bought a truck finally, which was a huge need actually. Not bad, right? Well, I wanted a something other than a tape player/radio in there. This is where it get’s interesting….

I got the net and looked around at different radios, and myself being lazy, found one at Best Buy that had a lot of bells and whistles that they would install for nothing. So I trot my butt down there to look at it inperson. Well, they were out of the one I wanted, so I went to see if Circuit City had it. Nope! They didn’t. That sucked.

Well, I’ve made a very sucessful switch to a new and faster server. The old server, well, it wasn’t that old, but the company it was under got sold. It lead to several things I didn’t like, including down time, so I hope this one will do us better.

I don’t have a lot of time to say much of anything, so I’ll leave it at that for now…. Maybe more later….
