For my normal readers, I’m sorry I haven’t been posting as often as I probably should. I’ve been a very busy man with a new website to create and business to start.

Regular visitors will have noticed that the site may have been running a bit slow, or maybe not at all. Well, I’m not sure what the problem is, but here’s the plan. I’ve secured a different VPS hosting plan from a different company. The transition should be seemless, but I also expect that caching Proxie and DNS servers will take some time to clear out their cache. An unfortunate side-effect. But hey, eventually it’ll all get straightened out.

The theme here is getting pretty old now. Rather than try and change the current theme to what I want, I’ve been looking at themes other people have made. While most are decent, I haven’t found what I’m looking for yet. What I want is a theme similar in simplicity to the current theme, but has three columns, two columns on the right side and one on the left for the entries. I honestly like the idea of having three columns for the sake of navagation.

If you are experienced in WordPress theme design and have something similar to what I’m describing above, please contact me and we’ll work something out.

That’s right! I’ve upgraded the site to WP 2.0, which has some very nice new features. Unfortunatly, unless you run one, you won’t see the neat new stuff! I think everyone should run a blog, if nothing else just to get things off your chest. It helps tons!

Ok, I’ve gone in and fixed the comments forms to work properly. I also fixed an error with an image conversion program that was missing on this server. The image security is working again.
I was having problems with the comments form not showing up properly. It turns out that WP doesn’t seem to be looking at the right file. I went ahead and did a work around that will have to work for the time being. Anyway, you will notice some differences now in the way comments are submitted. I’ve installed a SPAM filter for comments, so I hope we won’t see crap comments.

Heh, the new server is just a hummin’ along quite nicely. The best thing, I have at least most of what I’ve been lookin’ for. The resources I have won’t allow the running of tomcat or resin java servlet engines, but that’s ok. Guess I’ll continue with PHP for now, and I’ve been looking at AJAX pretty hot and heavy, so maybe a little of that too. Perhaps I’ll start up a new project venture. It might be interesting to say the least….
