Sometimes life is funny….

Once upon a time, there was this kid. He was in high school and was evolved in many extracurricular activities. One of these activities involved being in the band. As fate would have it, he went to band camp for a couple of weeks out of the summer for a little fun and some constructive learning. During the summer of 1990, he went to band camp and met a wonderful girl there. They kissed, held hands, and spend loads of spare time together. Alas, the time was too short and the two went their separate ways, but promised to call and write each other.

Blogger Code of Conduct?

Do bloggers really need a “Code of Conduct?” Do we need to standardize and organize our thoughts and emotions into an order based on someone else’s point of view? I took some time to think about it and my answer is: No, we do not!

Why? Because with all the “Political Correctness” we are forced to sugar-coat the brutal and ugly truths that plague our lives. It seems that people want you to lie to them and hide your true thoughts and emotions. Sorry folks, this will not happen on my blog! If you don’t like what I have to say, don’t read it. Or better yet, block my site via your firewall. You are not my target audience thus I will not cater to you or your fascist ways. I have a freedom of speech, and you have the freedom to move on and go play “pop-it” on pongo. It’s really very simple.

I hate corporate life….

I know, I’ve been MIA yet again. I have a good excuse though! Not much had been happening worth writing about. Well, now I have something to write about.

Two days ago, I found out that my job will be moving to to Omaha, NE. It’s going to happen in October. Needless to say I’m not happy and I don’t want to move. *sigh* They can’t just leave us the fuck alone. Let me explain….

FAIR USE bill Opposed by RIAA - No Really…

There are numerous stories out there about this, but I chose the article at PC World.

The Freedom and Innovation Revitalizing U.S. Entrepreneurship (A.k.A. FAIR USE) bill introduced to Congress Tuesday shows some initiative by the U.S. Government. It seems that at least some of our Congress-critters actually care about “We the People.” It helps lessen the effects of the anti-consumer DMCA our Government unleashed on our unsuspecting nation. Some argue that this bill doesn’t go far enough while others argue that it’s a good start. And (surprise surprise) the RIAA is against it. (imagine that)

Finally got my Apple iMac!!!

Yup! I’ve gone and joined the darkside and bought myself a shiny new 20″ iMac! What’s this mean? Well, not much to many people, but plenty to me.

First, let’s just say I’ve gotten sick and tired of the latest bullshit from Microsoft. Vista is a mess in every review I’ve read. Sure, you got some apologists out there who say it ain’t that bad; fuck’em. If they want a fully controlled environment, let’em have it. I don’t want functionality crippled in my computer that I paid good money for, just because a part manufacturer didn’t get a signed driver out. I’ve voted with my wallet, and I voted NO to the RIAA/MPAA restraints Microsoft installed in their latest and greatest OS. They can suck a fat donkey dong for all I care.
